The SHARPAL 109R 12 in. Ceramic Knife Sharpener is made of high-grade ceramic that equals 3000 grit, a material close in hardness to diamond, so, ceramic is wear resistant, light in weight and will never rust. The sharpening rod hones and realigns your knife edge quickly and easily. It is long enough to hone almost any knife in your block from a small chef’s knife to a large butchering knife. Unlike a knife “sharpener”, a honing rod is used by professionals after each use to roll the edge back to its original position and keep it at the ideal angle for maximum sharpness. It comes with a soft grip rubber handle and an hexagonal hand guard for comfort and safety. As ceramic material can easily get broken, the removable rubber cap is specially designed to protect a support surface from scratch as well as to reduce chipping and nicking when drops.
